About Me

There is so much I have learned about myself and what I love to share, that I decided to expand my blog content, hence the name change. You will find a blend of lifestyle elements that inspire me and bring me a lot of joy.

If you are an aspiring home cook or baker, you will really find my detailed approach to cooking & baking very helpful in building your confidence in the kitchen. You will see that I share a blend of Pakistani-American recipes. The South Asian recipes are influenced by my Pakistani heritage and the type of Pakistani food I grew up eating. I believe in sharing knowledge and resources, so my recipes are very detailed. I give you all the information you need so you can apply the techniques and methods to any recipe you try, not just mine. This is going to help you overall in cooking.

Cooking for me is beyond just some delicious recipes. I learned so much about myself through food. I was 8 when we immigrated to the States and I have since then never visited Pakistan. So I know a lot about my Pakistani culture through the food. I can honestly thank my mom for the early influence and keeping traditions alive through food.

Perhaps you love some simple home decor and a lot of organization like me.  Like all moms, many times I put selfcare on the backburner. But as my kids are getting older I am finding more selfcare time. So I hope you enjoy my simple style posts. You will also find a lot of content on entertaining/hosting. Opening up our home to family and friends to celebrate any occasion big or small is very important to us. Since this is more new content, slowly this content will be coming soon.

Before blogging I was in the healthcare field for 10 years. As a Medical Assistant I worked in primary care. Right before deciding I wanted to be home after my 2nd child, I was managing an entire office on the clinical end. The time I was at home with my kids, it really took me a while to see what I wanted to pursue as my career. I searched and studied different avenues, in hopes that I could spark a passion for. But what I hadn’t realized was that I already had a talent, passion and skill set I was perfecting for years.  I had a natural love for the Culinary Arts, just didn’t know it yet. After this realization, I could see my countless hours spent through the years of just being drawn to the kitchen, cooking shows, cooking, baking books, and so much more. But it took me a while to really see my talents as skills and build confidence in myself. My background in healthcare helped me understand the importance of food for our health, physically and mentally. So you will see a large portion of this blog is still very dedicated to food.

Right now my amazing team is my husband, who continues to be a positive force behind this blog. He taught me basic photography and the amazing video work are his talents. By doing what I love I want to set an example for our two kids, Sophia and Luke.

I hope you takeaway that nothing should be limiting you. This space is the example to keep following your passion, heart and intuition.
